Easter is early so head south to the sun and activities of the Algarve, with three-night Easter breaks available from £42 per person with Oceânico Resorts & Leisure.
With March temperatures averaging 17°C and around seven hours of sunshine a day, the Algarve offers a quick Easter escape, just over two hours from the UK.
A choice of accommodation includes the four–star Jardim da Meia Praia resort near Lagos, which has availability in two- or three–bedroom apartments. Prices for a three night break start from £42 per person, with the resort’s facilities including a large swimming pool, tennis court and the Destino restaurant.
Alternatively try the Estrela da Luz resort in Praia da Luz, which offers luxury apartments just 200m from the beach. Facilities include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a gym and exercise studio, health and beauty centre, multisports area, tennis court, and a children’s play area. Prices for a three–night break start from £50 per person.
Alternatively, there is limited availability at the brand new Vila Baia resort in Praia da Luz, which offers outdoor swimming pools, an Italian themed restaurant, luxury apartments and landscaped gardens. Prices here start from £52 per person.
All prices are based on six people sharing a three–bedroom apartment – one and two bedroom apartments are also available at selected resorts.
Flights to Faro are not included, but are available with airlines including Monarch (www.flymonarch.com) and Jet2 (www.jet2.com). Car hire or taxi transfers to and from Faro airport can be arranged through Oceânico Resorts.
